Hiawatha Bible Chapel
Statement of
Faith
We Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he came to
earth in
the form of a man. Was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life. Died on
the cross
for the sins of the world. Was buried and rose on the third day, and is
now seated
at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Will be coming back to earth
soon to
set up His kingdom. He came the first time as a lamb, the second time
He will
come as a lion.
We also believe that once you have excepted Christ and believe in His
sacrifice for your sins, you are born again not by the will of the
flesh, nor of
the will of man, but of God. As many as receive Him (Jesus) to them He
gave
power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his
name.
We fellowship at the Hiawatha Bible Chapel in Wabasha. Their statement
of
faith is as Following:
- The inspiration of the Bible in all parts and without
error in its
origin;
- The one God, eternally existent Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit, Who created
all things by a direct immediate act;
- The pre-existence, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless
life, miracles,
substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to Heaven, and
the second
coming of the Lord Jesus Christ;
- The fall of man, the need of regeneration by the
operation of the Holy
Spirit on the basis of grace alone, and the resurrection of all: to
life or
damnation;
- The spiritual relationship of all believers in the
Lord Jesus Christ,
living a life of righteous works, separated from the world, wtnessing
of His
saving grace through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

The Hiawatha Bible Chapel was established back in the seventies, and is
an assembly type meeting. This means we are a body type ministry which
means we do not have a one man leader. We are governed by a group of
elders or older men who know the Lord Jesus Christ and have trusted Him
for their salvation. The Head of our assembly is the Lord Jesus Christ,
and we use His Word (The Bible) for our final authority.
If you are new to the area, or just passing through, and are a believer
in the Lord Jesus Christ we invite you to come and worship our Lord
with us on Sunday mornings. Our worship starts at 9:20 AM. Afterward we
have a Bible Study and Sunday School for the children, which starts at
10:30. We have weekly Bible studies, youth Group and there is an
Adventure Club for the younger children on Wednesday after school. For
times and places for Bible studies and youth group please call the
phone numbers listed on this page.
Again, we welcome you to join us.
The members of the Hiawatha Bible Chapel.
